Junction boxes are available in a wide variety of designs, for example with rubber seals or sealing membranes. These seals are usually not permanent, because they become brittle and fragile over time due to environmental influences. The use of castin resin would be an alternative - but if you want to reroute or renew the connection at some point, you will have to cut the cables outside the junction box. A flexible option is pure silicone, but even this solution won't last: silicone keeps dust and water away from the connection and is easy to remove, but it has to dry for several hours and strongly attacks metals. In addition, it does not last.

The solution is simple - and fluid

The solution to the above-mentioned disadvantages is the use of a two-component gel such as Religel Plus. The gel permanently seals and protects electrical installations from water, fumes, dust and vibrations. Good to know: Religel Plus impresses with its particularly fast curing in just twelve minutes. This allows you to seal even several connections at once within a very short time. This saves a lot of time, especially in complex installations with many cable branches. Used in a suitable conventional junction box, Religel Plus meets the IP68 protection rating. This means: the box is dust-tight and offers protection against permanent immersion in water.

Processing takes place in three simple steps:

1. Lay the cables to be connected in a junction box or other suitable housing. Ensure clean connections of the cables already during this step.
2. Then fill the junction box with Religel Plus and wait until the gel has hardened.
3. Close the junction box. The connection is now ready for use.

By the way, you do not have to worry about anything when using it. The compatible material is not harmful to health, completely odorless and non-toxic. It can also be easily disposed of in household waste.
